Social Media Done Right
In our past issue, we discussed about how to use Facebook ads to bring your business to the higher level. In this issue we are going to talk about social media management for much better search engine rankings and traffic.
There are a number of affiliate marketers that point out that Facebook has turn out to be more effective than Google with regards to pulling in traffic. Whether this is true or not, it’s not surprising to know that many other marketers are jumping in the bandwagon to try out Facebook marketing for themselves also because this way is a lot inexpensive and a lot easier to set up.
Here are some more tips on how to pull traffic from search engines straight to your Facebook page:
Start building Plenty Of High-quality Backlinks to your site
You’ll find a number of ways you can lead your potential clients and customers towards your page. It’s just one of the many benefits of using Facebook. You can do this by using backlinks depending on the number of ‚Likes‘ that you get. This is the onsite way.
The offsite way is to build links using other websites such as your formal website, article directory sites, other social networking sites, email signatures and stuff like that. Articles are a great way to build up links. Furthermore, they can offer helpful information for your present and potential clients as well.
– Use A Professional Business Name
While it’s good to be innovative with your profile and updates, the same does not follow for your Facebook name. Of course, you need your name to be easily searchable in Facebook. This improves the keyword optimization aspect. Also, remember that your name shouldn’t sound like a sales pitch so don’t stuff it with a lot of descriptions. Less is more. For instance, if your business name is Jonathan’s Fruits Shakes, and there’s another business name that sounds similar, why not consider changing yours into „Jonathan’s Healthy Fruit Shakes“
Consider the same for the URL’s. This new feature gives you the option to change your URL so it’s more searchable to other Facebook users. Similar to your business name, your URL should be very relevant. Consider going for facebook.com/jeremiahfruitshakes. This is pretty direct.
– Complete your Profile
Your squeeze page is probably one of the most essential parts of your Fan Page. From here, customers will decide whether they want to read on and explore the other parts of your profile or not. With this, it’s crucial that your profile is complete with all the necessary details. Here, you can be creative with the detailed text that you place in the About Page and related outside links.
Your landing page is also one of the pages where you can place keyword-rich text. Aside from using targeted keywords, you can also add in broad, general keywords that are normally used in your chosen niche. This is so Google can easily find your page. Try also to get good customer feedbacks or testimonials. This will add credibility to your page and to your brand in general.
With all the benefits of using Facebook as a business tool, still it’s not recommended that you use a Facebook Fan page as a replacement for an official website. Facebook only adds another dimension to the logistics of online marketing.
