New Zealand Harcourts Foundation host ‚Helberg Foundation Sport for Life‘ Dinner
(Auckland) The Halberg Disability Sport Foundation is to be the receiver of funds raised at a charity dinner, as a result of a new partnership with the Harcourts Foundation New Zealand.
Team Harcourts Ambassador Emma Revell explains the aspirations of Halberg make the foundation the best charity partner,“Murray Helberg set up the foundation to enhance the lives of physically disabled Kiwis by breaking through obstructions so they can take part in and enjoy sport. Harcourts real estateprovides funding to community groups all over NZ, and we are particularly inspired by the work of this actual charity. “
The ‚Sport for Life‘ dinner will feature distinguished NZ sporting figures who will lead discussions on the positive impact of sport, and the power of sport to contribute to the lives of disabled folks. Special guests include former All Blacks coach Sir Graham Henry, All Blacks mental abilities coach Gilbert Enoka, and the Common Wealth Games Chef de Mission Rob Waddell. Also, Paralympic cycling champion Philippa Gray will talk about how vital it is to make sport inclusive for those with disabilities.
Revell says that a charity auction will be held later in the evening, with 100 % of the funds raised going directly to the Halberg Disability Sport Foundation,“We have an exciting range of unique sporting experiences and memorabilia up for auction, we plan to delight and surprise with our auction pieces. “ Revell explains that Harcourts real estate established the Harcourts Foundation in 2008 in direct reaction to the question „What are we able to do to put something into the community to improve the day to day lives of the local people?“
Since the Harcourts Foundation was formed, $2.7 million has been raised through fundraising efforts, and donations from Harcourts team members. „Harcourts takes inspiration from the Halberg Foundation due to their untiring commitment in their work to bring about Murray Helbergs vision that without exception all New Zealanders should be able to access sports,“ asserts Revell.
The Helberg Foundation employs Disability Sports Advisors right through NZ who facilitate opportunities for physically disabled folk, and advocates for specialised sporting equipment and instruction. Revell adds that the Helberg Foundation also provides grants for specifically evolved sports gear. The evening encompasses a three course meal, drinks and entertainment and tickets start at $210 plus gst per head. Bookings can be made through annah.lairdharcourts.net.
The Harcourts Foundation is the charitable arm of the real estate group, and will most likely be the hosts of the Halberg „Sport for Life“ dinner.Harcourts New Zealand offer real estate, homes and land for sale, rentals and commercial leasing, way of living and agricultural property, and business for sale across NZ.
