Edward R. Mercer Welcomes New International Airport in Costa Rica
The co-founders of particular real estate company in the scenic view of Costa Rica namely Ed Mercer along with his wife were both bubbly as they heralded the event as a big improvement not only to the tourism but the real estate opportunities of the country as well. As a big advantage, the venue of the new airport shall be only 20 minutes from the venue of the real estate company of Ed Mercer. Basically, Ed’s company is situated near Costa Rica’s romantic and breathtaking beaches.
Ed turned the tide around despite his humble beginnings. Eventually, Ed started buying and selling duplexes and became the largest seller of swimming pools while he was in Canada. Ed and his wife had come to Costa Rica as guests but decided to stay and invest in purchasing land properties. A self taught entrepreneur and an accomplished leader (who knew how to strike the right cord with the people and inducting them in his team), Ed was quick to capitalize on the real-estate boom in Costa Rica.
Ed also formed his own real estate company, the sustainable projects of which are unwaveringly devoted to preserving the biodiversity of the region and strictly follows to the environmental standards as well. In addition, a part of every deal completed by the real estate company goes towards sustaining the rainforests of the regions. The eco-friendly houses are an added attraction for tourists who may wish to plan a relaxed vacation home in Costa Rica. Fundamentally, the building of homes is often done around the trees and it is not Ed’s belief that the trees should be cut down to create a lot. He is just prone to finding and selling lots that are a natural for a beautiful luxurious home.
Furthermore, his enterprise, Edward R. Mercer Foundation is committed to maintain the ecology and biodiversity, thus leaving a better planet for those to come. Ed is popularly known as Mr. Costa Rica for his philanthropic causes and his large amount of property ownership in Costa Rica.
Ed was hailed for his pioneering efforts to save the wild life species of the scarlet macaws, the white-faced monkeys and the sea turtles. The scarlet macaws were poached for their feathers; monkeys for pets while the turtles for eggs as aphrodisiacs. Ed Mercer stopped the illegal poaching by providing round the clock security by posting security guards. Simultaneously, Ed’s company planted thousands of almond trees, which were a natural source of food for the macaw population that increased significantly. The population of monkeys also shot up due to stopping of illegal poaching. The sea turtle population is also on an upswing as Ed provided fresh nesting grounds for the female turtles in the adjoining villages.
Now, to feed back the main topic, the newest international airport of Costa Rica is scheduled to open in year 2010. Its initial international flights shall carry a maximum of 50 passengers. It is believed to have a run way that will accommodate the largest passenger plane, Airbus A-380. Its opening shall indicate the unlocking of the tourist activities. Besides, the development potential of Costa Rica’s southern coast shall be hiked considerably. Presently, only a four to five hour drive from San Jos or a commuter flight was available for mass tourism in the area where the new airport is being planned. The area shall be further sprinkled by the tourist resorts and residential complexes as well.
